Our moving experts are friendly and professional. They have years of experience in packing, furniture wrapping, disassembly and reassembly and loading and unloading of trucks.
Most of our customers choose us because we provide a high-quality service at an affordable cost. Our clients want their moving day to be stress free. Our men will arrive safely and on time. They pay attention to detail such as wrapping your mattresses and new lounges with packing material. The men are careful with your fragile items. Our removalists have a lot of experience lifting heavy items such as potted plants, pianos, marble tables, and more. Each truck has blankets to protect furniture and white goods, trolleys, dolleys and straps. They all have tools to dismantle furniture. Our costing is transparent with a one-time call out fee to cover travel time and an hourly rate to cover the job from when they arrive to when they deliver the last item.

Case studies – Removalists North Shore
Hornsby to Wahroonga
The Nortons were moving from a 4-bedroom house in Hornsby to another 4-bedroom house in Wahroonga. Our supervisor Victor met with Jake Norton to discuss the quote. They wanted a complete moving service including packing, moving boxes and moving a specialty heavy item: a baby grand piano. He offered a fixed price of $3000 for packing, moving all items including the baby grand and box hire. The day before moving day 3 men took 9 hours to pack all the rooms. They used 80 of our blue boxes and a few port-a-robe boxes.
On moving day itself they carefully disassembled the legs from the piano, wrapped the piano, and moved it. They also took apart the beds and reassembled them at the other end. They uninstalled and reinstalled the washing machine and dryer. In the truck, the men wrapped everything with pads. They strapped the large items safely to the truck and packed them tightly but carefully. Four men and two trucks moved the Nortons to their new house in 10 hours. They were so pleased that there was not a single scratch on any of their fragile items or their new home.
Lane Cove to Mosman
Sally had stored her 1 bedroom apartment’s contents in Storage King, Mars Rd Lane Cove and she wanted to move it into the 2 bedroom unit she was about to move into with her boyfriend in Mosman. She was readyfor her move. She booked the loading zone for our truck, met our team there and asked her boyfriend to save a spot for the truck on Avenue Rd, Mosman. Their unit was on the second floor. Loading the furniture from the storage unit to the truck was very easy and though there were 2 flights of stairs at the delivery the men did it all in 3.5 hours. The move cost Sally $100 for the call out, $385 for the hourly and $485 in total.
Our reviews
See what our customers have to say about us.
“We were so stressed out with our move because the settlement at the house we bought in St Ives was delayed a day after our tenancy finished at our rental. The ABC team were great guys. They offered last minute storage overnight at their depot. On moving, they worked so quickly and did such a great job. Our move was stress free in the end. Thank you ABC, you saved us!”

“I have used ABC Removalists several times this year. They’ve helped us move furniture around the house a few times. Every time, the men have been friendly and professional. They took great care with our fragile items: a new electrical oven, a fireplace and an antique table. We highly recommend them to anyone who asks us about professional removalists in the North Shore”

Tips for moving into the area
The North Shore is great for families, professionals and retirees. The Upper North Shore has quiet, leafy suburbs with large houses perfect for families as well as some of Sydney’s best schools: Shore, North Sydney’s selective schools, Knox Grammar, Hornsby Girls High, Normanhurst Boys High, Pymble Ladies College and more. For restaurants, shops and cinemas, apart from the boutique high streets in most suburbs, there are also commercial centres: Westfield Hornsby, all of Chatswood’s shopping areas, Macquarie centre. It’s great to live in if you work in the city’s North commercial areas: Macquarie Park, Chatswood, North Sydney.
One disadvantage of living in the North Shore is the lack of nightlife compared to other parts of Sydney. A lot of bars and suburbs in general close early. There is no cultural hub but some parts of the Lower North Shore are quite close to the city which can satiate all those nightlife urges.
Some North Shore suburbs are accessible by train and bus routes but parking can be an issue for most trains stations and even with public transport the time it takes to the city can be quite the trek. If you work in the CBD, consider the commute when you choose a house!
