As a response to COVID, we have a plan of action to ensure our staff and customers are safe. We are currently taking the following steps:
- We regularly check the health and wellbeing of our staff. Any team member from an affected LGA is tested every 3 days as per the current NSW Health Regulations. Any team member who is a close contact or displays symptoms will take a COVID test and will be removed from the roster until they are tested negative for the virus.
- Â Each truck is stocked with hand sanitiser and disinfectant. The removalists use them before and after each move. All access points to the depot are on a more frequent cleaning schedule.
- Masks are worn for walk-throughs, payments and in communal indoor areas. We recommend you remain in a different room when the packers and removalists are doing the physical task of packing and moving as wearing masks while doing physical labour is an exemption for mask wearing in NSW and can cause OH&S risks for our packers and removalists.
In order to assist us in keeping yourselves, our teams and other customers safe, please do the following:Â
Advise us immediately if you are unwell
If you or any members of your household have symptoms of the coronavirus, have been a close contact or have tested positive for the virus, please let us know immediately.  We will postpone the move until the risk of transmission has been removed. If you are under quarantine, a close contact or immunocompromised, contactless payment is available. Simple pick ups and deliveries can also be done contactless.
Advise us if you have been exposed
If you or any members of your household have travelled in the past 14 days or have had contact with someone who may have been exposed to COVID-19, please let us know as soon as possible.
Disinfect all surfaces
Please disinfect all surfaces of furniture and white goods before the men arrive for your move. Please allow the men to wash their hands often. Â
Keep a safe distance
Please remain in another room while they are working. Our removalists will wear masks in the communal areas of buildings, for walk-throughs and payments. However, please be aware that they are exempt from wearing masks when they are doing strenuous labour as this poses an OH & S risk for them, your property and anyone in close vicinity. Â
